At Berkeley Heating Services Ltd we aim to make switching to a renewable energy heating solution as easy as possible. Speak to our team about installing an air source heat pump today.
We operate across South East London and North Kent.
-Domestic gas boilers collectively produce eight times as much nitrogen dioxide (NO2) as all the gas fired power stations in the UK.
-NO2 is an air pollutant which can be fatal if inhaled in large quantities.
-Most gas boilers have an efficiency rating of about 90%, meaning that 10% is wasted.
-The average air source heat pump has an efficiency of 300%, producing 3 times more energy than it uses.
-Heat pumps use the environment to generate 75% of the heating and hot water needs for your home, meaning that you are less reliant on electricity to warm your home.
-Gas boilers will be banned in new builds from 2025.
We know that fossil fuel heating is still going to be with us for a very long time which is why we will continue to
fit and service gas fired boilers as well as promote renewable heating. Let’s face it, not every property is suitable for an air source heat pump. Older properties for example with poor insulation.
My boiler had stopped working, so I gave Berkeley Heating a call as they we local.
They came out to me the same day, and got the boiler working within the hour. They were most polite and very professional, I shall be using them for any problems I have in the future!
Mr P S Welling
I bumped into David at a business meeting in Sidcup and heard him speak with passion about his company and decided that without any real knowledge of him and any previous jobs, I wanted him to carry out the job of replacing my boiler and moving it from the downstairs to my loft. He arrived with his son Daniel and spent four days doing the job, which I am really pleased with, especially as I thought the price was very reasonable. David and Daniel are very nice trustworthy people and I have no hesitation in recommending them and their work.
Mr J H, Bexleyheath
Just wanted to say thanks to you and the team, for organising and carrying out the complete modernisation of our kitchen. We are both delighted with the final product. The kitchen has been well designed and superbly installed. It's a credit to you and the team for the dedication in making it happen, their hard work and attention to detail has resulted in a superb and user- friendly kitchen.
Mr PS, Orpington
In simple terms, a heat pump is like a fridge working in reverse. It compresses air and uses the resulting heat produced to provide heating and hot water.
Unless the heat pump is working very hard (ie in very cold weather), you can expect the noise to be similar to a fridge. You could easily hold a normal conversation next to it without raising your voice.
In most cases you will not need planning permission for the installation of an air source heat pump as the product is classed as “Permitted Development”. However, we recommend that you check with your local authority, just to be on the safe side.
Renewable heat systems, such as air source heat pumps, are one of the most economical, and eco-friendly heating systems on the market and help to, not only to reduce their carbon footprint, but will reduce heating bills.
You can buy electricity from energy suppliers that harvest their electricity from renewable sources such as wind or solar PV.
Having your air source heat pump installed by an MCS accredited installer which we are, entitles you to a £7500 voucher to reduce the outlay cost.
With this new government scheme the £7500 voucher is issued right at the beginning of the installation. This is subject to the air source heat pump system being designed and installed by a Certified MCS Installer and the installer also being a certified BUS Installer which we are proud to say, we are.
Air source heat pump installations are more expensive than replacing your boiler.
For this reason the government has introduced the Boiler Upgrade Scheme to help subsidise the cost of installing an air source heat pump into your home.
With this new government scheme the £7500 voucher is issued right at the beginning of the installation.
This is subject to the air source heat pump system being designed and installed by a Certified MCS Installer and the installer also being a certified BUS Installer which we are proud to say, we are.
